About Lunadell Studio

Lunadell Studio is a small Tasmanian workshop focused on considered, long lasting furniture. Each piece is built by hand, one project at a time, from carefully selected local timbers.

Lunadell Studio started as a small idea tied to a name I kept coming back to. “Lunadell” mixes a bit of family history with the quiet places I’ve always worked from. It’s simple, steady, and holds the same feel I want in every piece that leaves the studio. Nothing loud. Nothing overdone. Just clean, honest work built with care.

I’m Huw, and I run Lunadell Studio on my own. I’ve always been drawn to hands-on work, clear lines, and the satisfaction of building something that lasts. The studio gives me a place to focus on that. Every project gets my full attention, from the first sketch to the final finish.

Southern Tasmania

Larger pieces such as tables and benches are personally delivered and placed in your home across greater Hobart. Pricing is confirmed with your quote.

Interstate Shipping

Smaller items like serving boards and coat racks can be shipped. Packaging is reinforced to protect corners, edges, and finishes during transit.

Lead times

Lead time depends on timber availability and schedule. Most custom work sits between 3-8 weeks. Mention your deadline in your enquiry.

Do you only work with Tasmanian timbers?

The focus is on Tasmanian species such as Huon Pine, Blackwood, Sassafras, Myrtle, and Silver Wattle. If you have a specific timber in mind, it can be discussed as part of your project.

Yes. Photos, measurements, and finish references all help. While timber is naturally varied, designs and proportions can be shaped to sit comfortably alongside what you already have.

How do I care for my piece?
